Written quotations will be provided and once a project has been accepted, a signed Booking Form or written confirmation of acceptance of costs and a promise of payment will be required before undertaking any work.
Please note – If the client’s original requirements change, we reserve the right after suitable consultation to amend the original quotation.
For UK registered companies an invoice will be submitted with the completed work with full payment made within 30 days. For other businesses and individuals in UK the receipt of a deposit of 40% will be required before work commences, with the balance payable upon completion (this is for the first project only).
For monthly retainers, an invoice will be submitted at the end of each month, preceding the month work is to commence. Any extra hours used will be invoiced at the standard rate. Regular clients will be able to carry unused hours over to the following month.
Hourly rates are calculated to the nearest 30 minutes, minimum fee of 1 hour applies.
Additional materials such as CD’s, postage, stationery and telephone calls will be invoiced at cost. Travel and accommodation charged at agreed rates.
A deposit will be required before work commences to cover the cost of any materials and expenses.
Payment can be made by cheque or BACS transfer.
Terms are strictly 30 days from the date of the invoice.
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate of 3% per month on the outstanding balance from the date of the invoice until the date of payment. If a cheque is returned by the bank, the client will be responsible for all bank charges resulting from the returned cheque.
Final responsibility for proof-reading errors in completed work (including manuscripts, dissertations etc.) rests with the client. PDA cannot accept responsibility for errors found after submission, but will gladly correct any mistakes found within a reasonable timescale. If errors are found in the work, they will be rectified free of charge but they must be notified within 48 hours of receipt of completed work.
PDA accepts no responsibility for the end use of any document produced or edited by it. Clients are solely responsible for its appropriate use, including abiding by any copyright laws, plagiarism laws and publishing requirements. PDA is not responsible for the content of any document supplied to them. Clients should not pass off plagiarised material as their own original work. PDA will assume no responsibility for any plagiarised material supplied by a client and reserves the right to return the work should PDA become aware of such inappropriate use. PDA retains the right to reject work for any client which involves material PDA finds to be illegal, immoral or objectionable.
Should any errors be found in the work, PDA is liable for the cost of the work only -no further liability is acknowledged.
In the current climate of prolific computer viruses, PDA will scan all incoming emails, files or disks. However, even after scanning we will still not open unsolicited attachments to emails or emails containing no message alongside the attachment. Emails that PDA send to clients will also have been scanned using up-to-date anti virus software.
PDA holds back-up copies of client files for a period of one year only. After that time, they will be deleted. PDA advise all clients that original documents should be sent via a traceable method of delivery, either by post office special delivery, courier, or can be collected by PDA subject to agreement.
PDA does not accept responsibility nor is liable for lost, stolen, damaged or the late delivery of a document in which a customer receives work, data, information, disks, CDs and/or any other materials while on route via email, Royal Mail, or any other type of dispatch, courier or shipping service.
PDA recognises that confidentiality is a sensitive issue for clients and are happy to sign any reasonable non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement that a client may require.
